爵代舞蹈劇場自2005年成立至今十四年，以「爵士舞」和「現代舞」奠定舞團演出趨向，秉持著人人都可以快樂舞蹈的理念，將爵士舞具備娛樂性的特質融入藝術創作中，14年來一步一腳印地實踐著理想中的舞蹈樣貌。創團者林志斌與潘鈺楨夫妻在作品中不斷嘗試創新和突破、大膽融合和改變，經歷無數次的衝撞和實驗，在看似多元無限制的發展中豎立出獨特的爵代舞風。此外，舞團積極致力於基層舞蹈教育的深耕和藝術推廣，自2010起執行的“送藝術進校園～愛心無限大“公益舞蹈教學計畫，至今已維持了9年不間斷地全年式教學，目前有 20所學校特教班同時參與此計畫之實行，爵代希望用舞蹈回饋社會，撒下希望的種子,看見舞蹈在更多地方發芽茁壯，以舞蹈貢獻一己之力讓所處社會更加美好。

爵代今年是第十一年入選台灣文化部之扶植獎助團隊，現名為國藝會TAIWAN TOP演藝團隊。2014年起舞團即開始受邀於國際間的演出，作品曾在馬來西亞、美國加州、紐約、馬尼拉、韓國、北京等地演出，使台灣的高舞蹈水平和藝術創作力受到許多關注與肯定，獲得相當多寶貴的經驗與評價。2016年起，爵代不斷嘗試注入全新動力，並開始建立與南京、馬來西亞、日本、紐西蘭、法國、西班牙、美國、墨西哥的教學、參訪、示範演出、研習營等交流活動。爵代一直以來珍惜著每一個機會，抱持著求精求進的態度，期盼作品能反應社會現象及回歸生活，因此向內持續廣邀藝術同好參與製作，向外則積極尋求在國際舞台的能見度，透過作品和理念讓更多不同文化地域的人認識台灣，也開啟國際觀眾的新視野。

我們相信藉由「爵士舞」富含熱情及生命力的特質，加上「現代舞」充滿實驗精神與無窮盡的可能性，融入台灣固有的文化特色，不但可以創造出屬於我們的獨特舞蹈語彙，更可反映出這世代資訊共享與文化揉合的藝術新趨向。

Founded by Taiwan’s artistic dance couple, Chih-Ping Lin and Yu-Chen Pan in 2005, JueDai Contemporary Jazz Dance Theater has been annually nominated by the Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture as an ‘Excellent Support Team’ since 2009, now named ‘Taiwan Top Performing Arts Group’ by The National Culture and Arts Foundation. Within a decade, the dance troupe boldly integrated martial arts, acrobatics and various dance styles into their performances. In addition to using the unique cultural characteristics and current social issues of Taiwan as production themes, the company also fuses Eastern and Western cultures to reflect social phenomena and connection in life through the lens of creating a uniquely Taiwan dance expression.

The dance company is named JueDai for two reasons: the first is to combine Jue Shi (Jazz dance) and Xian Dai (Modern dance) to create a foundation for dance development; and the other being a homophone to indicate unparalleled beauty and quality, indicating the troupe’s ambition of creating a unique dance style of diversity. Xian Dai is artistic, challenging and requires experimenting while Jue Shi is passionate, lively and entertaining. Based on these distinctive qualities, JueDai seeks to create innovation and versatility. Whether JueDai performs nationally or internationally, the company always presents dances that are accessible and intriguing at the same time; hoping that their works will have a greater connection to the environment and humanity.
